What is an apprenticeship?

An Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised training programme where you get the opportunity to work directly for an employer earning a salary and achieving your qualifications whilst at the same time gaining valuable work skills and experience as well as developing a network of professional relationships.

If you are over the age of 16 and eligible to work in England you can apply to be an apprentice so, is an ideal route for school leavers seeking a more direct route into employment as well as young people that are seeking a change of career?

Apprenticeships can last between 1 and 4 years and this is dependent on the level of the qualification you choose to study as well as the industry sector and they requirements from your employer.

Types of Apprenticeships

  • Intermediate Activity Leadership – Coaching Pathway
  • Intermediate Activity Leadership – Excercise and Fitness Pathway
  • Advance Gym Instruction – Personal Training Pathway
  • Advanced Sports Coaching – School Based Sport Pathway
  • Intermediate Customer Service
  • Advanced Customer Service

A level 2 Intermediate apprenticeship is equivalent to 5 A-C GCSE passes

A level 3 advanced level apprenticeship is equivalent to 2 A level passes

Applying for an Apprenticeship

As an individual, you can secure a job yourself directly with an employer or you may already be in a job with an employer.

Once this is the case you can contact us and we will arrange to meet with your employer to establish the most appropriate apprenticeship format for them as well as you.

Remember if you are already in employment and seeking an apprenticeship it does not affect your pay, duties or employment status.
