Training Centre Manager (Watford)

Pay: £25kpa plus bonus (OTE – £30k)

About SSG Training:
We are an established training provider of Study Programme, Traineeship, Apprenticeship and Adult Skills provision specialising in supporting the development of individuals.

Job Summary:
SSG Training are seeking an ambitious and inspirational manager to implement, achieve and monitor the overall success and performance of courses within our new Hertfordshire training Centre, based in Watford. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the management and upkeep of the facilities and venue(s) associated with the location of the centre. They must have experience in managing staff in an education setting, be able to use their own initiative and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Manage the successful delivery of courses against set Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage and adhere to processes to ensure that all programmes and courses run in line with Human Resource, Funding and awarding body compliance requirements, legislation and SSG Policies/Procedures.
  • Proactively manage delivery staff in line with their Job Descriptions and KPI’s utilising approved SSG Training management protocols, systems and tools.
  • Manage a supported environment to develop innovative and exciting methods of delivery within the boundaries set through compliance with funding rules, IQA and accredited learning requirements.
  • Manage the usage and upkeep of venues being used for delivery.
  • Ensure health and safety and safeguarding requirements are met in the areas for which the job holder is responsible
  • Manage appropriate systems and processes to ensure candidate inductions and registration takes place on all provision
  • Appropriately induct, brief and allocate delivery staff members and proactively manage their timetables and capacity.
  • Manage and support delivery staff to control the engagement and behaviour of candidates on programmes
  • Be visual and centrally located at the centre to ensure standards and expectations of candidates & staff are met at all times

Coordination & Organisational Responsibilities:

  • Manage conflicting demands, meet deadlines and adjust priorities to deliver projects successfully.
  • Maintain excellent levels of proactive communication to senior management outlining programme performance, threats and successes.
  • Manage delivery budgets as released by Financial Director in line with approved SSG Training budget utilisation processes.
  • Manage processes and systems to activate new programmes in line with company strategic aims
  • Manage the implementation of the SSG Training CPD package to all staff and proactively seek opportunities for additional CPD through identification of skills shortages

Analytical Responsibilities:

  • Undertake administrative tasks in order to use and maintain office systems
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative data to formulate a creative approach to problem solving
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to accurately report on programme performance and develop area improvement strategies supporting the development of an annual SAR.

Other:

  • Undertake any other reasonable activity required by senior management considered as within the scope and purpose of the job and the aptitudes of the job holder.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to self-development in relation to identifying areas of support, training and qualifications that the company may be able to support.

Salary: £25,000.00 to £30,000.00 /year

Experience:

  • education/training: 3 years (Preferred)
  • managerial/leadership: 1 year (Preferred)
